As usual storyline of Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour dealing
with terrorists but the unique in the new series this time is that we will play
as both sides so we can get more deep story. This does not affect the gameplay
as both sides have guns and play the same way but this is a fairly fresh touch
to the size of the mobile game.
In single player mode you'll play follow the story through
the 12 missions that have super quality. Which is very pronounced when compared
to Modern Combat 3 is in terms of the action that is more similar to an action
movie, this might be due to some cut scenes and conversations that do have
quality film. One mission you can accomplish approximately 20-40 minutes
depending on your skill level and difficulty, so imagine that the single player
already has a long enough amount of content to be resolved.
Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour does have excellent graphic
quality, but that's not what makes me really amazed, but the environment is
much more extensive and interactive as well. Each level is designed with great
detail and this is what actually makes the gaming experience even closer to the
game console. Previously you could feel that environment rather narrow in
Modern Combat 3 but this time you can even be confused where to go because the
environment is widespread, although it will not happen because there is a
pretty clear hint that you should go.
In addition you can now also use various objects as
protection and it feels very natural. After the shelter you can also jump
directly to the next sliding into place so that not only stand up, go ahead and
shoot. Gameloft also have started adding objects that can be destroyed if the
shot even though in terms of the amount is not too much. For example, when I
took refuge in the pole, can shoot and destroy enemy ceramic attached to the
pole exactly the scene in The Matrix when the famous elevator lobby.
For single player by default you will use auto aim so if you
use an automatic weapon sight then it will lead to the enemy. But still you
have to direct it to close them first, this allows us to be more focused on the
story and the action rather than frustrating cross hair directing us to the
enemy. One thing that I feel the game is also now more difficult but this makes
it more balanced because the enemy AI is not very smart so if it is not hard it
would not be exciting single player at all.
If you've finished the single player then congratulations
because the actual game will begin. Modern Combat Multiplayer Mode 4 is the
best multiplayer games, complete compared to other similar games. You can
choose one of 8 different game modes, ranging from free for all, team battle to
catch the flag.
As you level up (by killing opponents and win the game) then
you will get a new access to a variety of items ranging from weapons to
military support where you can call for help like a helicopter. What is unique
here is the feature where you can choose Intervention bonus XP according to
your playing style. For example if you like to play as a sniper and you can
choose STEALTH where every kill targets without being seen will give you 50 xp
more.
One thing I realized is in the multiplayer mode there is a
slight decline in the quality of graphics but this may be to keep the gameplay
remains stable and I strongly agree with this. So far this is the best
multiplayer experience, you can feel that the game is very fluid and smooth.
Once you turned sharply it will also follow the game well and is very stable
frame rate maintained throughout the game.
